You'll learn how to: Find your Listener recording transcripts in Nynch and understand what happens to them after upload.
Time: 3 minutes.
Prereqs: A recording that has finished uploading to Nynch.
Where transcripts land
After you stop a recording and Listener uploads it, the transcript appears automatically in People > Meetings.
- In Nynch, click the People tab (left sidebar).
- Click on any contact card.
- Scroll to Meetings on the contact's profile.
- Look for the meeting you just recorded. It will show the date, time, and recording duration.
What you see in the transcript
Each Listener recording shows:
- Title. The title you entered when you started recording (e.g., "Discovery call with Sarah").
- Date and time. When the recording was made.
- Duration. How long the recording is (not counting paused time).
- Transcript. The full text with speaker labels (e.g., "You:", "Other participant:").
- Speakers. Listener identifies who spoke when using speaker diarization. If a speaker is identified as a contact in Nynch, their name is linked. Unknown speakers show as "Speaker 1", "Speaker 2", etc.
- Action items. Nynch automatically extracts action items from the transcript and lists them separately.
Search and find recordings
You can search for a Listener recording by:
- The meeting title (e.g., search "Discovery call").
- A contact name or email (search the name, then browse their Meetings tab).
- The date of the call.
Local copies are deleted
The audio file recorded on your device is deleted automatically once Listener confirms that Nynch received the transcript. You do not need to manage or delete files yourself.
If a recording fails to upload (see Retry a failed Listener recording), the local copy stays in Listener's Recordings list until you retry or delete it manually.
If something goes wrong
- Symptom: "I recorded a meeting but it's not showing up in Nynch yet." → Fix: Listener must complete the upload and transcription. Check the Listener window for a progress indicator or "Uploading..." status. Transcription can take a few seconds to a few minutes depending on recording length. If it's been more than 5 minutes, see Retry a failed Listener recording.
- Symptom: "The transcript shows up but the speakers are all labeled 'Speaker 1', 'Speaker 2', etc." → Fix: Listener does identify speakers but does not yet link them to contacts automatically. If you want to link speakers to contacts, you can edit the transcript in the Nynch UI.
- Symptom: "The meeting transcript is missing the last few minutes of audio." → Fix: If you paused the recording near the end, check that you clicked Resume before clicking Stop & Send. If you did, and audio is still missing, the recording may have been corrupted. Contact Nynch support with the recording title and date.
