Sign in to Nynch Listener

You'll learn how to: Sign into Nynch Listener and choose whether to save your session on your device.

Time: 1 minute.

Prereqs: Nynch Listener installed. You have a Nynch account.

Why you need to sign in

Listener uses your Nynch account to authenticate and upload recordings. You sign in once, and optionally stay signed in.

Step 1: Open the login screen

When you first launch Listener after install, it opens to the login screen automatically.

If you're already signed in and want to sign out and switch accounts:

  1. Click the Nynch icon in your system tray (bottom-right corner, next to the clock).
  2. Look for a Settings or Account option and click Sign Out.
  3. The login screen reappears.

Step 2: Enter your credentials

  1. In the Email field, type the email address of your Nynch account.
  2. In the Password field, type your Nynch password (the same one you use for app.nynch.com).

These are your Nynch web account credentials. They must match exactly.

Step 3: Optional. Choose "Remember me"

The Remember me checkbox saves your session locally on your device.

  • Tick it if you want to stay signed in automatically next time you open Listener. You won't need to type your password again.
  • Leave it unchecked if you're on a shared device or a device you don't trust. You'll need to sign in each time you open Listener.

Your password is never saved. Only your session token is stored on the device.

Step 4: Click Sign In

Click the Sign In button.

If your credentials are correct, Listener signs you in and shows the recording screen. You're ready to record.

If you see "Invalid email or password", check that:

  • Your email matches exactly what you use for Nynch web.
  • Your password is correct. If unsure, use the Forgot Password link below the login button.
  • You're not using a different Nynch workspace. Each workspace is a separate account.

Forgot your password?

  1. On the Listener login screen, click Forgot Password.
  2. You're directed to app.nynch.com/forgot-password.
  3. Follow the email recovery flow.
  4. Once your password is reset, come back to Listener and sign in with your new password.

No account yet?

You need a Nynch account before using Listener. Go to app.nynch.com and click Sign Up. Create your account there, then come back to Listener and sign in.

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: "I'm typing my password correctly but getting 'Invalid credentials'." → Fix: Check that you're using the email and password for your Nynch account, not another service. Go to app.nynch.com and sign in there first to confirm your credentials work. Then try Listener again.
  • Symptom: "I have multiple Nynch accounts and Listener keeps signing me into the wrong one." → Fix: Listener stores one session per device. Sign out (Settings > Sign Out or similar), then sign back in with the correct email. If "Remember me" is ticked, it will remember the new account.
  • Symptom: "The login screen says 'Network error' or 'Cannot connect'." → Fix: Check your internet connection. Listener needs to reach Nynch servers to verify your credentials. If you're behind a firewall or proxy, ask your IT team to allowlist app.nynch.com and *.nynch.com.
  • Symptom: "I clicked Remember me but Listener asks for my password every time I open it." → Fix: Your device may have cleared cookies or session storage. Try signing in again and ticking Remember me. If it still doesn't persist, your antivirus or system privacy settings may be blocking local storage. Check your device's privacy/cookie settings.
  • Symptom: "The Forgot Password link doesn't work." → Fix: Go directly to app.nynch.com/forgot-password in your browser. Follow the email recovery flow. Once your password is reset, return to Listener and sign in.
