Write Your Manifesto

You'll learn how to: Write your Manifesto so Nynch can reflect your positioning and point of view in every draft it creates.

Time: 10-15 minutes to draft. Refine over time.

Prereqs: You've defined the problem you solve and your services.

Why a manifesto matters

Your Manifesto is your positioning statement. It says what you believe, why the old way is broken, and what you stand for. Nynch includes it in every outreach email, proposal, coaching note, and shared room. A clear, authentic manifesto makes your AI sound like you, not like a generic robot.

Without a manifesto, Nynch's AI drafts feel corporate and safe. With one, they sound like your point of view.

Steps

  1. At the bottom-left of the sidebar, toggle to Strategy mode.
  2. Click Manifesto.

Manifesto page in Strategy mode

  1. You'll see a text area for your manifesto statement.
  1. Write your manifesto. This is 1-3 paragraphs (150-400 words) that express your positioning and philosophy. It should answer:

    • What do you believe? What's your core conviction or philosophy? Why does this problem matter to you?
    • Why is the old way broken? What's wrong with how things are done today?
    • What's the better way? What do you stand for? How do you approach the work differently?

    Examples:

"Most consultants position themselves as generalists and compete on credentials. This is a race to the bottom. Instead, we believe that every consultant has a unique edge. Our job is to help you articulate your specific point of view, package it into a service framework, and then go to market so the right clients find you. We don't do generic strategy. We do positioning."

"Founders treat the first 12 months like a sprint. In reality, it's a marathon of learning. We believe the difference between founders who build sustainable businesses and those who burn out is access to peer feedback early. That's why we coach in cohorts, not one-on-one. You get perspective from founders solving similar problems in real time."

"Operations is invisible until it breaks. Most operations people are firefighting instead of building systems. We believe operations should be boring, not heroic. Our approach is to audit your current state, identify the 3-5 things that will unlock the most value, and build a playbook so your team can execute without you."

  2. Write in your voice. This should sound like you, not like marketing copy. Use "we" or "I", be specific, and be opinionated.

  3. Review it. If you're not sure it's right, read it out loud. Does it sound true? Is it something you'd actually say to a prospect?

Refining your manifesto

If your manifesto feels flat or generic, try:

  • Start with a contrast. "Most consultants do X. We do Y instead."
  • Use your language. "Relationship-led" instead of "client-centric". "Playbook" instead of "framework". Words that are real to your business.
  • Be specific about the result. Not "better outcomes" but "from 3 deals a month to 8 deals a month in 90 days."
  • Name what's broken in the old way. Not "we're different" but "the old way treats X like a commodity. We treat it as a core differentiator."

How Nynch uses your manifesto

When Nynch drafts:

  • Outreach emails and LinkedIn messages include your point of view, not generic coaching.
  • Proposals reflect your positioning and philosophy.
  • Shared rooms (proposals, coaching plans, strategy docs) show your voice and conviction.
  • Your coaching plan language echoes your manifesto, so it feels cohesive.

Update your manifesto

Your manifesto will evolve as your business evolves. To update:

  1. Return to Manifesto.
  2. Edit the text.
  3. Click Save.

Nynch immediately starts using the new version in all new drafts.

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: "I'm not sure what my manifesto should be." → Fix: Start by writing down what you believe about your problem. What's wrong with the current state? What would you tell a prospect about why your approach is different? Write that. Edit later.
  • Symptom: "My manifesto is too long or rambling." → Fix: Cut it down. Nynch works best with manifestos that are clear and concise. Aim for 150-300 words. One strong idea is better than three watered-down ones.
  • Symptom: "My drafts still don't sound like me." → Fix: Make your manifesto more specific and opinionated. Generic manifestos produce generic drafts. The more conviction and specific examples you include, the sharper your AI becomes.
  • Symptom: "I updated my manifesto but my old drafts didn't change." → Fix: Old drafts keep the manifesto from when they were created. Only new drafts use the updated version. You can manually edit old proposals if needed.
