You'll learn how to: Use the Deal Room tab to give a buyer one curated link with the proposal, supporting assets, and a Q&A surface. See exactly what they engaged with.
Time: 2-5 minutes to set up the first time. Updates after that take seconds.
Prereqs: A deal open on the canvas with at least one stakeholder linked. Your plan includes Deal Rooms.
Where it is
Open a deal on Revenue. The canvas opens. Click the fifth tab, Deal Room.
What's on the tab
- Status: Empty / Active / Revoked.
- Shareable link with copy-to-clipboard.
- Assets: every file, link, or note you've added.
- Engagement panel: per-stakeholder breakdown of what they viewed and when.
- Q&A: a list of questions the buyer has submitted via the room.
Build the room
For a fresh deal, the tab starts empty. Add content:
Add an asset (file)
Click + Add asset. Drag-and-drop a file (proposal PDF, slide deck, contract) or pick from your computer. The file uploads and appears as a card.
Per asset you can set:
- Title (defaults to filename).
- Description.
- Visible to buyer: on by default. Toggle off to keep an asset internal-only (visible to you and teammates but not the buyer).
- Order: drag to reorder.
Add a link
Click + Add link. Paste a URL. Good for Notion docs, Loom recordings, Figma prototypes, anything that lives elsewhere.
The room displays the link with a preview if available.
Add a note
Click + Add note. Free-form rich text. Useful for framing the room ("Here's what we discussed in our call on X, plus the proposal and a recording") or providing context the buyer should see first.
Generate the shareable link
Once you have at least one asset, click Generate shareable link (or Open room to buyer).
The link copies to your clipboard. Send it however you communicate with the buyer (email, Slack, WhatsApp, LinkedIn DM).
The buyer opens it in their browser. They don't need a Nynch account.
What the buyer sees
- Your branding (configured in Settings > Profile > Company Branding).
- The deal title and a one-line summary you wrote.
- Every asset marked Visible to buyer, in the order you set.
- A Q&A box where they can ask questions.
They don't see your internal notes, the deal's stage, the value, or anything from other tabs.
Track engagement
The Engagement panel on the right shows:
- Which stakeholders opened the link (matches by IP / browser fingerprint to the contacts on Map People).
- Which assets each stakeholder viewed and for how long.
- Time spent in the room per stakeholder per session.
This is the most useful per-deal signal you can have. "Sarah opened the proposal three times yesterday and spent 8 minutes on it" tells you the deal is moving even if she hasn't replied.
Update content live
Anything you add to the Deal Room tab in Nynch shows up on the buyer's view automatically. You don't regenerate the link. They just refresh.
This means you can keep adding content (a follow-up doc, a video answering a Q&A, a revised proposal) without breaking the buyer's bookmark.
Q&A
When the buyer submits a question via the room's Q&A box:
- The question appears in the Q&A panel on this tab.
- You get a notification (per your settings).
- Type a response in the panel. It appears on the buyer's view.
- Mark resolved when done.
Threaded Q&A means the buyer doesn't need to email you for every clarification, and you have a full audit trail of what was asked.
Revoke the link
If the deal goes cold, you want to retire the room, or sensitive content was added in error:
- More-actions next to the shareable link > Revoke link.
- The link returns a 410 / Gone page. The buyer no longer sees the content.
- You can generate a fresh link later if you change your mind. Old link stays revoked.
If something goes wrong
- Symptom: "Deal Room tab is greyed out / not visible." → Fix: Your plan may not include Deal Rooms. Check Settings > Account.
- Symptom: "Buyer says the link is broken / 404." → Fix: Either the link was revoked, or the deal was deleted. Generate a fresh link from this tab.
- Symptom: "Buyer can't download an asset." → Fix: Check that Visible to buyer is on for that specific asset.
- Symptom: "Engagement shows 0 views even though I know the buyer opened it." → Fix: Engagement is matched to specific stakeholders. If the buyer opened from a device or IP that doesn't match any contact, they show as anonymous. Add their work email as a contact on the deal.
- Symptom: "I want to share with only one stakeholder, not the whole team." → Fix: The standard link is open to anyone who has it. For per-stakeholder access control, look for Stakeholder-specific links in the more-actions menu (plan dependent).
