Snooze a rhythm reminder

You'll learn how to: Push a contact off today's Rhythm queue without removing them from the rhythm.

Time: 2 seconds.

When to use Snooze

  • You can't reach the person today (travelling, weekend, end of their working day).
  • You want to wait for a signal before reaching out (an announcement, a job change).
  • You just don't have the energy and want to keep the rhythm honest rather than skipping.

Snooze is the "not today" option. Skip is the "ignore this suggestion entirely until they're due again" option.

Steps

  1. Open the Today screen (the first item in the sidebar).
  2. Click the Rhythm section tab.
  3. Find the contact's card.
  4. Click the Snooze action on the card.
  5. (Optional) pick how long to snooze: a few days, a week, "tomorrow", or a custom date.
  6. The card disappears from today's queue.

That's it. The contact comes back into the queue on the snooze date.

What happens

  • Their place in the rhythm is preserved. Snooze doesn't reset the rhythm cadence.
  • Their "last touched" date doesn't change.
  • They re-appear on Today's Rhythm section on the snooze date (or sooner if they're due regardless).
  • If the snooze date arrives and they're STILL not due based on rhythm cadence, the snooze is silently honoured and they wait their normal turn.

Snooze vs Skip vs Mark as Touched

  • Snooze: "show me this contact again on date X". Cadence preserved.
  • Skip: "this card isn't relevant; don't show it again until they're due next time".
  • Mark as touched: "I engaged with this person outside Nynch (phone call, in-person, etc.); reset the cadence". Most useful when you've done the work but Nynch couldn't see it because the channel isn't connected.

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: "I snoozed and the contact came back the next morning." → Fix: The snooze date was set to "tomorrow". Pick a longer snooze, or use Skip if you don't want them in tomorrow's queue.
  • Symptom: "I can't find the Snooze action on the card." → Fix: It's on the card's action row, usually clustered with Complete / Skip / Mark as touched. If you don't see it, the card might be a different type (e.g. an Approval card, which has Approve / Reject instead).
  • Symptom: "I snoozed for a week but they appeared three days later." → Fix: They became due based on rhythm cadence faster than your snooze duration. Snooze is a floor, not a ceiling: Nynch always honours rhythm cadence. If you really want them out of your queue for a fixed period, remove them from the rhythm temporarily.
  • Symptom: "I want to snooze a bunch at once." → Fix: Bulk snooze isn't supported per-card. To pause a whole batch, either remove them from the rhythm (Contacts → bulk-select → Assign to Rhythm → remove) or temporarily change the rhythm's cadence to a longer interval.
