Run an Audit-to-Diagnostic Funnel

You'll learn how to: Run a free Value Audit in a cold email, book a 60-minute walkthrough with a prospect, present two investment options with your own pricing and payment links, and convert them to a paid diagnostic.

Time: Five minutes per deal. The setup (pricing and payment links) is a one-time task.

Prereqs: A live Nynch workspace. A prospect's public LinkedIn profile or website (to run the audit). Stripe or another payment provider to generate payment links (Nynch does not process payments).

Why this funnel works

The audit-to-diagnostic funnel turns cold prospects into paying clients by proving value before asking for money. Each step is something a prospect actually wants:

  • Free Value Audit, a detailed, credible assessment of what they are missing. You can send the link in a cold email. they read it in 5 minutes without booking anything.
  • 60-minute walkthrough, you present the audit findings (45 minutes), they react, and you close with two investment options (15–20 minutes). No meeting = no sale. this step qualifies who is real.
  • Two investment options, a paid diagnostic (for example, "£750, 2 hours") and a larger engagement (for example, "£5,000, 90-day programme"). Both include the diagnostic as a foundation. Each has your own price and payment link, so they can buy and start immediately after the call.
  • Debrief in the deal room, after the diagnostic is complete (not yet available), you present the findings and recommendations in the deal room. Optionally offer a credit toward the next phase at your discretion.

This funnel works at any price point and for any service type. The prices and payment provider are entirely yours.

Steps

1. Create a Value Audit and send the public link

  1. In CRM, open a deal for the prospect.
  2. Switch to Proposals (in the deal's tab bar).
  3. Click Generate Proposal.
  4. Choose Lead with a diagnostic (this generates a free Value Audit).
  5. Answer the prompts to describe the prospect's situation and what you would audit.
  6. Click Generate. This takes about 60 seconds.
  7. Click View to open the audit (or Share > Share link to get the public URL).
  8. Copy the link and paste it into your cold email or follow-up message.

The prospect reads the audit on their own time. No password, no calendar booking required.

2. Book a 60-minute walkthrough

After the prospect reads the audit, they usually book a call themselves (Nynch can prompt this in the proposal). If they don't, send a short follow-up: "Read the audit yet? Happy to walk through the findings on a call."

On the call:

  • 45 minutes: Present the audit findings and recommendations.
  • 15–20 minutes: Say, "Here are two ways forward." Present Option 1 (diagnostic) and Option 2 (diagnostic + programme). Pause. Let them ask questions.

Do not go further if they seem unsure. "Let's both think on it and regroup Tuesday" is fine. Only the prospects who are ready move to the next step.

3. Create the proposal with two investment options and payment links

After the call, create the proposal the prospect agreed to:

  1. In the same deal, click Generate Proposal again.

  2. Choose your pricing method (Quick, Value-Based, or Outcome-Based).

  3. Set up two options. Example:

    • Option 1: Paid Diagnostic → £750, 2 hours.
    • Option 2: Diagnostic + 90-Day Programme → £5,000, includes diagnostic + 12 weeks of implementation.
  4. For each option, scroll down and add your Payment Link. This is a link from your payment provider (Stripe, Gumroad, your invoice tool, etc.). For example:

    • Option 1 payment link: https://buy.stripe.com/cxxx750
    • Option 2 payment link: https://buy.stripe.com/cxxx5000

Nynch does not process these payments. The link goes directly to your payment provider when the prospect clicks "Pay and start".

  5. Click Save (or Send if you want to email it immediately).

  6. Click Add to Deal Room to put the proposal in the shared space where the prospect can see both options and payment links.

4. Prospect pays and starts

The prospect opens the deal room, reads the options, and clicks Pay and start on the option they want. This takes them to your payment provider, where they complete the transaction. Nynch does not see the payment itself, so when it clears, mark the proposal accepted and choose the option they bought.

The money goes to your Stripe account (or your payment provider), not Nynch. You keep 100% of the sale.

After they pay, they will expect you to start the diagnostic immediately. Have a calendar link and a kickoff document ready.

5. Deliver the diagnostic and debrief in the deal room (not yet available)

The Paid Client Diagnostic feature (not yet available) will let you:

  • Record findings in a structured report
  • Present the report as a deck in the deal room
  • Debrief with the prospect

For now, deliver the diagnostic outside Nynch and update the deal room manually when it is complete.

Customizing the funnel

The prices, payment provider, and engagement size are entirely yours. Adapt the funnel to your market:

  • High-ticket: Option 1 £5,000, Option 2 £25,000.
  • Quick win: Option 1 £300, Option 2 £2,000.
  • Retainer: Option 2 offers a 3-month retainer instead of a one-time engagement.
  • Multiple options: You are not limited to two. Add a third option if your model supports it.

Common questions

Q: Can I send the audit in a cold email? Yes. Copy the public link from the proposal and paste it into your email. No calendar booking or authentication required. The audit is readable immediately.

Q: What if they want a different price? Before the call, agree on the rough budget (e.g. "£500–1,000 for the diagnostic"). Generate the proposal based on that. If they push back on the specific price, regenerate the proposal with adjusted numbers. Do not undercut yourself mid-call.

Q: Can I use my Stripe link or another payment provider? Yes. Paste any https payment link: Stripe, Gumroad, PayPal, invoice tools, whatever you use. Nynch just links out. it does not touch the payment.

Q: What if they don't click "Pay and start" immediately? The proposal stays in the deal room. They can come back and pay later. Send a follow-up: "The proposal is in the deal room whenever you are ready to go. Any questions?"

Q: Do I get notified when they pay? Nynch does not track the payment itself (that happens in your payment provider). You will see in Nynch that they accepted an option, and you will see the charge in your Stripe account (or your payment app). For automation, set up a Stripe webhook or use a Zapier integration to Nynch.

Q: Can I use this for coaching or delivery-only services? Yes. The diagnostic can be a coaching session, a capability audit, a workflow redesign, or anything you diagnose and recommend on. The two-option close works for any service type where a paid assessment enables a larger engagement.

Q: What comes after the diagnostic is paid and delivered? The prospect knows the next step because you told them on the call. It might be "Option 2 kicks off next Monday" or "Let's schedule the 90-day kickoff for Thursday". Use the deal room (not yet available) to present findings and optionally offer an upgrade or credit toward the next phase.

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: "The payment link does not show up in the deal room." → Fix: Paste the full https link into the Payment Link field when editing the option. Save the proposal again. Refresh the deal room.
  • Symptom: "The audit does not address what I wanted to talk about." → Fix: Edit the proposal in draft and rewrite the audit sections. Regenerate if the default does not fit your style.
  • Symptom: "Prospect clicked the payment link and got an error." → Fix: Check the payment link in your Stripe dashboard (or payment provider). If the link is expired or disabled, generate a new one and update the proposal.
  • Symptom: "I do not know if they paid." → Fix: Your payment provider (Stripe, etc.) sends you a receipt and updates your revenue. Nynch does not charge or track the payment. you own that transaction. Check your email or your payment provider's dashboard.
