Capture from LinkedIn search

You'll learn how to: Import multiple people at once from a LinkedIn people search, filter out duplicates, and optionally assign them all to a rhythm.

Time: 5 minutes for a typical search.

Prereqs: The Nynch Chrome extension is installed (see Installing the Chrome extension).

Batch capture from search results

Step 1: Run a LinkedIn people search

  1. In LinkedIn, use the Search bar at the top and select Search people or apply filters to find the group you want to add.
  2. The search results page loads with a list of matching profiles.

Step 2: The extension shows a Search Results panel

  1. The Nynch extension's side panel changes to Search Results mode.
  2. It lists every person currently visible on the page.
  1. People already in your Nynch network appear greyed out so you can see at a glance who is new vs. already saved.
  2. There is a checkbox next to each person's name.

Step 3: Select people to add

  1. Check the boxes next to each person you want to import.
  2. You can select as many as you want, or use the checkbox at the top of the list to select all visible results on this page.
  3. If you navigate to the next page of search results, you can select people there too. The extension remembers your selections across pages.

Step 4: Optional rhythm assignment

  1. Above the list, there is a dropdown: Assign to Rhythm (with a "None" default).
  2. Click the dropdown and pick a rhythm if you want all selected people to join the same rhythm (for example, "Lead nurturing" or "Quarterly outreach").
  3. Leave it at "None" if you don't want to assign a rhythm.

Step 5: Import

  1. At the bottom of the panel, click Import [N] people (the button text shows the count of people you selected).
  2. A loading spinner appears. The import typically finishes in 5-10 seconds.
  3. A success toast appears: "Imported N people" or "Imported N people and assigned to [Rhythm Name]".

The greyed-out (already-imported) people remain greyed out. The ones you just added are no longer greyed out.

Deduplication

The extension automatically dedupes based on LinkedIn URL. If a person is already in your Nynch network, they are shown greyed out on the search results panel. Importing them again skips the duplicate and only adds new people.

Scrolling and pagination

LinkedIn search results load incrementally as you scroll. The Nynch panel updates in real time as new results appear. You can continue selecting people and scrolling through all available results on a search page. If you want to continue to the next page of search results, do so normally. Your selections will persist.

Importing multiple times

You can run multiple imports from the same search. For example:

  1. Select 10 people, assign them to "Leads", click Import 10 people.
  2. Change the rhythm dropdown to "Waitlist".
  3. Select a different 5 people and click Import 5 people.

Each import batch is independent.

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: No Search Results panel appears. → Fix: Make sure you are on a LinkedIn people search results page. The extension only activates on /search/results/people/. Regular LinkedIn pages will not show the search panel.
  • Symptom: I selected people but the Import button is disabled or doesn't appear. → Fix: Make sure at least one person is checked. If you have selected people but the button is not visible, scroll down in the side panel.
  • Symptom: The import started but stalled or froze. → Fix: Wait up to 30 seconds. If nothing happens, try refreshing the page and running the import again.
  • Symptom: Some people were imported but others weren't. → Fix: Check the toast message. It may say how many were imported (skipping duplicates). Open your Nynch app to confirm they arrived.
  • Symptom: I assigned a rhythm but some people were not added to it. → Fix: Make sure the rhythm is active (not archived). Also check in Nynch that the rhythm is not at capacity if it has a limit.
