Mark a contact as manually touched

You'll learn how to: Tell Nynch you spoke to a contact through an unconnected channel.

When to use it

Use this after a phone call, in-person meeting, WhatsApp conversation, Slack message, or any other interaction Nynch could not capture automatically.

From Today's Next Steps

  1. Open Today.
  2. Find the contact's rhythm card in Next Steps.
  3. Click Mark as touched or the equivalent done action.
  4. Add a short note when that option is available.

The card leaves Next Steps and the cadence restarts from now.

From the contact profile

  1. Open the contact in People.
  2. Find the activity or timeline section.
  3. Click Log activity or Add touch.
  4. Choose the channel, add a useful note, and save.

What happens after

  • The last-touched date updates.
  • The next rhythm date is calculated from the new touch.
  • Your note appears on the contact timeline.

If the contact immediately reappears, check whether they belong to more than one rhythm with different cadences.
