Export your contacts to CSV

You'll learn how to: Download your contacts (or companies, or deals) as a CSV file, with optional pre-filtering so you only export the subset you want.

Time: 30 seconds for small lists. A minute or two for very large ones.

Steps

  1. In the left sidebar, click Contacts (or whichever entity you want to export).
  2. Optional: apply a filter via View Options → Filter, and a sort via View Options → Sort. The export uses your current view exactly. If you want everything, leave filters empty.
  3. On the toolbar's far right, click the More menu (three horizontal dots).
  4. Click Export CSV.
  5. Your browser downloads a .csv file named after the entity and the current date.

That's the whole flow. The CSV opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, or any text editor.

What's in the file

Every column that's currently visible in your List view (configured under View Options → Fields), in the order shown. Custom fields are included. ICP scores, last-touched dates, and other computed columns are included if they're toggled visible.

If you've grouped or filtered, the export only contains the rows that match the filter.

Use cases

  • Quarterly backup. Export your full network once per quarter as a personal backup, in case you ever need it outside Nynch.
  • Share a specific list. Filter for "ICP fit > 80 and not in any rhythm" and export to share that list with a teammate or a contractor doing research.
  • Re-import into another tool. Most CRMs and outbound tools accept Nynch's CSV format without massaging.
  • Reporting. Pull data into Sheets / Tableau / your data warehouse for analysis Nynch doesn't natively expose.

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: "Export menu item is greyed out." → Fix: You're on the Activities or Email tab. Switch back to People or Companies.
  • Symptom: "Export downloads but the file is empty." → Fix: Your current filter matches zero rows. Clear filters and try again.
  • Symptom: "Export is missing columns I expect." → Fix: Only currently-visible columns are exported. Open View Options → Fields, tick the columns you want, then re-export.
  • Symptom: "Export takes forever." → Fix: Very large exports (10,000+ rows) take a few seconds to assemble. If it stalls past a minute, try filtering down to a smaller subset first.
