Reject an AI suggestion permanently

You'll learn how to: Reject an AI suggestion (in Today's Approvals queue or inline on a deal / contact) and tell the AI not to suggest the same thing again.

Time: 2 seconds per suggestion.

Where AI suggestions show up

  • Today → Approvals section: agent-generated drafts waiting for your decision.
  • Opportunity canvas → Check Fit tab: opportunity-specific AI suggestions (move stage, add stakeholder, change probability). Badge shows count.
  • Contact profile: inline suggestions on specific fields (suggested rhythm, suggested ICP score).
  • Next Steps card on Today: daily briefing items with optional accept / reject.

The pattern is the same everywhere: Accept / Reject as side-by-side buttons.

Steps

  1. Locate the suggestion (one of the surfaces above).
  2. Click Reject (or the X icon, depending on the surface).
  1. The suggestion disappears immediately.
  2. (Optional) on some surfaces, a small popup asks WHY you rejected (Not relevant / Too generic / Wrong contact / Bad timing). Picking a reason teaches the agent faster.

What "permanently" means

Reject is sticky. The AI:

  • Won't surface that EXACT suggestion again.
  • Adjusts its scoring to be more conservative about similar suggestions on the same entity.
  • Logs the rejection (with reason if provided) to the workspace knowledge index for cross-session learning.

So rejecting a "suggest stage change to Lost" on an opportunity you're confident is still alive means the AI won't suggest Lost on that same opportunity until things meaningfully change.

Reject vs Snooze vs Ignore

  • Reject: don't suggest this again. Sticky.
  • Snooze (where offered): "show me this again in X days". Non-sticky.
  • Ignore (just close the dialog or scroll past): the suggestion may re-fire on the next agent run.

If you want the AI to stop entirely on a topic, use Reject every time you see it. After 3-5 rejections, the AI typically gets the message workspace-wide.

Tame an over-eager agent

If Approvals is full of bad suggestions:

  1. Reject them in bulk (see Bulk approve AI suggestions; the same Bulk action has a Reject variant).
  2. Open avatar -> Settings -> Superbrain (or the relevant agent settings).
  3. Find the noisy agent.
  4. Either narrow what it's allowed to suggest, OR switch it from auto-suggest to manual-only.

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: "I rejected and the same suggestion appeared again the next morning." → Fix: Rejection is per-suggestion-instance plus learning. A NEW suggestion can still come (e.g. "stage to Lost" rejected on Monday can re-fire if the opportunity has gone cold by Friday with new signals). Genuinely-recurring suggestions usually mean the underlying signal is still there.
  • Symptom: "I rejected by accident." → Fix: Open the entity (opportunity canvas, contact profile, etc.) and look for the rejected-suggestions area or the activity timeline. If the suggestion is still listed there, you can re-instate it.
  • Symptom: "Reject button is greyed out." → Fix: Some suggestions are gated to specific roles (e.g. owner-only "change pipeline" suggestions). Ask an owner to handle, or check your role.
