Mark a deal as Won

You'll learn how to: Move a deal into the Won stage. Nynch requires a close value and close date before the move sticks.

Time: 30 seconds.

Two ways

From the Kanban board

  1. Open Revenue in the sidebar.
  2. Find the card.
  3. Drag it to your pipeline's Won column.
  4. A dialog asks for Close value and Close date. Fill both in.
  5. Click Mark as Won.

If you don't fill in the required fields, the drag is rejected with a toast and the card snaps back to its previous stage.

From the deal canvas

  1. Click the deal to open the canvas.
  2. Change the stage selector at the top of the canvas to your Won stage.
  3. The same close-value + close-date dialog appears.
  4. Confirm.

Both paths run the same Won flow.

What happens after

  • The deal moves into the Won stage. The kanban card shows a green Won badge.
  • A toast confirms "Deal marked as Won".
  • The deal's close value and close date are recorded.
  • AI win-rate metrics update workspace-wide.
  • Any committee members linked to the deal trigger a "deal closed" event that feeds the relationship history.
  • If your workspace has a "Clients" / retainer pipeline configured, the deal canvas offers a Transition to client pipeline prompt to move the relationship into a recurring-revenue flow.

Optional: add a reason

The Won dialog has an optional Reason / win story field. Filling it in helps the Win/Loss Post-Mortem coaching canvas later. Recommended pattern: one sentence, e.g. "Champion brought us in for the strategic review, we won on speed of response."

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: "Won column won't accept my drop." → Fix: Required Won fields aren't filled. Either complete the dialog when it appears, or open the deal canvas first and fill the fields inline before changing stage.
  • Symptom: "I dropped on Won but the dialog never opened." → Fix: A popup blocker may have killed it. Open the deal canvas and change the stage from there instead.
  • Symptom: "I picked the wrong stage and want to move it back." → Fix: Stage changes are reversible. Drag the card back to the previous stage, or change the stage selector on the canvas. Won → Active doesn't require any extra fields.
  • Symptom: "I see no Won stage in my pipeline." → Fix: Your pipeline doesn't have a stage configured with stage_type = 'won'. Pipeline settings (typically under Settings or directly in the pipeline view) lets an admin add one.
