Nynch on LinkedIn - Overview

You'll learn how to: See what the Nynch extension adds to LinkedIn and how it uses your app session to capture and enrich profiles.

Time: 5 minutes to understand the features.

Prereqs: The Nynch Chrome extension is installed (see Installing the Chrome extension).

What appears on LinkedIn

Once you have the extension installed and you are logged in to your Nynch account at app.nynch.com, the extension adds interface elements to LinkedIn profiles and search results.

On a profile page

When you visit any LinkedIn profile (URL like /in/someone), the extension injects two UI elements:

  1. A side panel on the right showing the person's name, headline, location, and connection degree (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or follower).
  2. Two action buttons below the person's profile photo.

The buttons are:

  • Add to Nynch (or Open in Nynch if the person is already saved): import or view this profile in Nynch.
  • Add to connect: queue this person into the Start Relationships workflow so you can reach out with a reason and suggested message.

If the person is already in your Nynch network, the side panel also shows their current status in Nynch: lead stage, assigned rhythms or buckets, which campaigns they are in, and when you last interacted with them.

On search results and Sales Navigator

When you use LinkedIn's people search or Sales Navigator, the extension surfaces a Search Results view in the side panel. It shows all the people Nynch found on the page, marks which ones are already in your Nynch network (greyed out), and lets you pick which ones to add in bulk with an optional rhythm assignment.

On your connections list

When you visit your LinkedIn connections list (/mynetwork/.../connections/), the extension can scan all your connections at once and import them into Nynch, capturing names, headlines, URLs, photos, and connection dates.

On DM threads

The extension adds an Import Messages button to LinkedIn DM threads, letting you sync message history directly into Nynch's People section.

How auth works

The extension uses the same login session as your Nynch web app. You don't enter a PIN, code, or password in the extension. Instead:

  • When you log in to app.nynch.com, your browser stores a session token (JWT).
  • The extension detects that token and automatically connects.
  • As long as you are logged in at app.nynch.com, the extension stays active.
  • When you log out of the app, the extension will stop working after a short delay.

There is no separate login for the extension. If you are not seeing any buttons or panels on LinkedIn, the first thing to check is whether you are still logged in to Nynch.

Privacy and security

The extension only reads data visible to you on LinkedIn. It cannot see your password, private messages you cannot access, or any data outside your account. It sends captured profile information to your Nynch workspace and stores it securely.

Surfaces where the extension works

The extension is active on:

  • LinkedIn profile pages (/in/...)
  • Sales Navigator lead pages (/sales/lead/...)
  • LinkedIn people search results (/search/results/people/)
  • Sales Navigator search and saved lists
  • Your connections list (/mynetwork/.../connections/)
  • The LinkedIn feed
  • LinkedIn DM threads

On any other page, the extension's buttons and panels will not appear.

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: No buttons or side panel appear on LinkedIn profiles. → Fix: Make sure you are logged in to app.nynch.com in the same browser. Open a new tab and visit app.nynch.com to check your session.
  • Symptom: The sidebar shows "Not logged in" or "Please log in to Nynch." → Fix: Log in to app.nynch.com, then refresh the LinkedIn page.
  • Symptom: I see the buttons but clicking them does nothing. → Fix: Check your browser console (F12, Console tab) for errors. If the extension is crashing, try disabling and re-enabling it (Settings > Extensions > Nynch).
  • Symptom: The extension worked before but stopped. → Fix: Your session may have expired. Log out of app.nynch.com and log back in. Refresh the LinkedIn page after logging back in.
