View campaign analytics

You'll learn how to: See how a campaign is actually performing per step, and which contacts have engaged.

Time: 5 minutes.

Steps

  1. In the secondary nav, click Campaigns.
  2. Click the campaign you want to analyse.
  3. The campaign detail page opens. Switch to the Analytics tab (or scroll to the Analytics section).
  4. You see:

Funnel summary

  • Enrolled: total contacts in the campaign.
  • Active: still in the cadence.
  • Completed: finished the cadence (all steps fired).
  • Replied: contacts who responded (campaign typically auto-pauses for them).
  • Unenrolled / Bounced: removed manually or by delivery failure.

Per-step breakdown

For each step in the cadence:

  • Sent count.
  • Delivered: passed the provider's mailbox check.
  • Opens / open rate.
  • Clicks / click rate (if the email had links).
  • Replies / reply rate.
  • Bounce / failure rate.

This is where you see which step is doing the work. A campaign with 60% open on step 1 and 5% on step 4 usually means step 4 is being sent to a stale list (people who already disengaged); rework it or shorten the cadence.

Per-contact status

Below the step breakdown, a contact-level table shows every enrolled person, their current step, their most recent action (sent / opened / replied / unenrolled), and the timestamp.

Filter the table to surface specific cohorts (e.g. "everyone who opened step 2 but didn't reply" -> probably warm enough to follow up with a manual email).

Useful patterns

  • First-pass review: at 24-48 hours post-send, check step-1 open rate. Below 20% means deliverability issue (sender reputation, spam content); fix before continuing.
  • Mid-campaign review: at 7 days in, check reply rate. Below 2% means the message isn't resonating; pause and tune.
  • Post-campaign: at the end, segment respondents into hot / warm / cold. Hot = replied. Warm = opened all steps but didn't reply. Cold = didn't open. Follow up with hot manually; remove cold from future similar campaigns.

Export analytics

Click Export on the analytics tab to download a CSV of the per-contact status and per-step metrics. Useful for sharing with a teammate or building a campaign-comparison report across multiple campaigns.

Compare campaigns

The Campaigns list view shows summary metrics for every campaign side-by-side (enrolled, reply rate, conversion). Useful for "which campaign template is performing best".

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: "Analytics tab is empty." → Fix: The campaign just started; metrics need a few hours to populate. Check back after 24 hours.
  • Symptom: "Open rate looks fake (0% or 100%)." → Fix: Open tracking is via a tracking pixel. Some email providers (Apple Mail Privacy Protection, corporate proxies) strip or pre-fetch the pixel, distorting numbers. Use reply rate as a more reliable signal.
  • Symptom: "I see negative or weird numbers." → Fix: Refresh. Stale cache occasionally shows inconsistent counts; recalculation runs every hour.
  • Symptom: "Export download fails." → Fix: Large campaigns (10,000+ contacts) can fail to export in one batch. Filter to a subset first, export in chunks.
