You'll learn how to: Generate a shareable deal-room link for a specific opportunity. The buyer opens the link in their browser and sees a curated view of the proposal, assets, and outstanding items.
Time: 2 minutes for the first setup. Updates take seconds afterwards.
Prereqs: Your plan includes Deal Rooms. The deal has at least one stakeholder linked.
When deal rooms help
Deal rooms work best when:
- The deal is large enough that there's real back-and-forth (e.g. £25k+).
- Multiple stakeholders on the buyer side need to look at the same materials.
- The sales cycle is longer than two weeks (otherwise email is fine).
- You're tired of "where was that proposal again?" emails.
Skip deal rooms for small / fast deals; the overhead isn't worth it.
Steps
- Open the deal on the Revenue board (kanban or list).
- The deal canvas opens.
- Click the Deal Room tab (tab 5 of 5).
- The tab shows the current deal room state. For a fresh deal:
- Empty room.
- + Add asset action to upload files (proposals, slide decks, contracts).
- + Add link action for external resources (Notion docs, Loom recordings).
- + Add note for context the buyer should see.
- Add at least the proposal and any context-setting materials.
- Click Generate shareable link (or Open room to buyer).
- Copy the link.
- Send it to the buyer however you normally communicate (email, Slack, WhatsApp).
What the buyer sees
Opening the link, the buyer sees:
- Your branding (if Company Branding is configured in Settings > Profile).
- The deal's title and a brief one-line summary you wrote.
- Every asset you added (downloadable / clickable).
- Their own progress through the materials (read receipts).
- Optionally, a Q&A section where they can ask questions (depending on plan).
They don't need a Nynch account. The link works in any browser.
Updates after the link is shared
You don't regenerate the link to update content. Anything you add to the Deal Room tab in Nynch shows up on the buyer's view automatically. They just refresh.
Revoking the link
If you need to revoke the link (deal lost, buyer churned, sensitive material was added in error):
- Open the Deal Room tab.
- Click the more-actions icon next to the shareable link.
- Click Revoke link or Disable deal room.
- The link returns a 410 / Gone page. The buyer no longer sees the content.
You can regenerate a fresh link later if you change your mind.
Track buyer engagement
The Deal Room tab shows:
- Which stakeholders opened the link.
- Which assets each stakeholder downloaded / viewed.
- Time spent on each asset.
- Any questions submitted via the Q&A.
Use this to time follow-ups. "Sarah opened the proposal three times yesterday" is a useful signal.
If something goes wrong
- Symptom: "Deal Room tab isn't on the canvas." → Fix: Your workspace plan may not include Deal Rooms. Check Settings > Account.
- Symptom: "Buyer says the link is broken / 404." → Fix: Either the link was revoked, or the deal was deleted. Check the Deal Room tab for a fresh link. If the deal was lost / closed, regenerate from the lost-but-reactivated state.
- Symptom: "Buyer reports they can't download an asset." → Fix: Asset visibility may be misconfigured. Open the asset's more-actions menu and check that "Visible to buyer" is on.
- Symptom: "I want to share the room with only one specific stakeholder." → Fix: The standard link is workspace-scoped (anyone with the link can open). For per-stakeholder access control, look for the Stakeholder-specific links option in the Deal Room settings (plan dependent).
