Disconnect Google Calendar

You'll learn how to: Cleanly remove a connected Google Calendar from Nynch.

Time: 1 minute.

When to disconnect

  • You're swapping a personal calendar for a work calendar.
  • A team member is leaving and wants their calendar detached before handover.
  • You want to stop the calendar import to a workspace you no longer use.
  • Compliance or privacy reasons.

Disconnect does NOT delete past events that already landed on contact timelines. It just stops forward sync.

Steps

  1. Open Settings (gear icon, bottom-left of sidebar).
  2. Click the Email & Calendar tab.
  3. Scroll to the Email & Calendar Integrations panel.
  4. Find the Google Calendar card. It shows the Connected badge plus your last sync status.
  5. Click the trash-can icon on the right edge of the card (its aria-label is "Disconnect Google Calendar").
  6. A confirmation prompt appears.
  7. Confirm.
  8. A toast appears: "Integration disconnected".

The card flips back to showing a single Connect button.

What happens

  • Nynch deletes its stored OAuth credential for that calendar.
  • Past events keep their links on contact and deal timelines.
  • New events stop being pulled in.
  • Forward sync stops immediately.
  • Any in-flight backfill is cancelled. The progress banner disappears.

Reconnect later

If you want to come back:

  1. Open Settings to Email & Calendar.
  2. Click Connect on the Google Calendar card.
  3. Walk the OAuth flow again. See Connect Google Calendar.

Reconnection starts a fresh backfill. If you only need recent events, click Configure first and narrow the date range before the import kicks off.

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: "Disconnect button is greyed out." → Fix: You are not signed in or the page is stale. Refresh and try again.
  • Symptom: "I got a 'Failed to disconnect' error." → Fix: Wait a minute and retry. If Google's API is briefly unavailable, the disconnect can fail mid-flight. If it persists, revoke Nynch from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions and then click Disconnect in Nynch again to clean up local state.
  • Symptom: "Card still shows Connected after disconnect." → Fix: Refresh the page once. The card reads from a cached integration list.
  • Symptom: "Old calendar events vanished from contact timelines after disconnect." → Fix: They should not. If they did, contact support so they can investigate the workspace.
