View the workspace audit log

You'll learn how to: Open the audit log to see exactly who did what in your workspace.

Time: 30 seconds to find. Spend longer reading depending on what you're auditing.

Prereqs: You're an Owner or Admin. Members don't see the audit log.

Steps

  1. Open Settings (gear icon, bottom-left).
  2. Click the Team tab.
  3. Scroll to the Team Audit Log panel (third panel down).

The panel shows a chronological feed of every owner / admin action, most recent first.

What's logged

  • Team changes: invites sent / accepted / cancelled, members removed, role changes (member -> admin, admin -> owner, demotions).
  • Workspace settings: sharing policy changes, 2FA / SSO toggles.
  • Bulk operations above a threshold: bulk delete of many records, bulk merge, bulk re-assignment.
  • Integration changes: which integrations admins enabled / disabled.
  • Pipeline / methodology changes at the workspace level (e.g. an admin added or removed a pipeline).

Each entry shows:

  • Who did it.
  • What they did.
  • When (timestamp).
  • For bulk operations: the scope (e.g. "deleted 47 contacts").

What's NOT logged

  • Individual record edits (e.g. someone updating a contact's email). Those live on the contact's own activity timeline.
  • Read-only actions (viewing a record, exporting CSV).
  • Member-level actions that don't affect the workspace at large.

If you need a stricter audit, contact support about enterprise audit logging options.

Filter the log

The log supports basic filters:

  • By teammate: see only one person's actions.
  • By action type: invites only, role changes only, etc.
  • By date range: useful for post-incident review.

Export the log

For compliance review:

  1. Filter the log to the relevant scope.
  2. Click the Export action (typically in the panel header).
  3. The log exports as CSV with all visible columns.

Common use cases

  • Onboarding new admin: review the last 30 days of admin actions to give them context.
  • Compliance check: quarterly review of who has access, who changed sharing policies, who removed records.
  • Incident response: someone deleted contacts they shouldn't have; the log shows exactly who, when, and how many.
  • Trust restoration: after a role-change snafu, the log proves the timeline.

If something goes wrong

  • Symptom: "Audit Log panel isn't there." → Fix: You're not an admin or owner. Members don't see it.
  • Symptom: "Log is empty for our workspace." → Fix: New workspaces have no entries yet. The log fills as actions accumulate.
  • Symptom: "Export button is missing." → Fix: Export may be limited to higher-tier plans. Check Settings > Account for your plan's feature list, or contact support.
  • Symptom: "I can't find a specific action I know happened." → Fix: Use the filters. Member-level actions (e.g. a member editing a contact) won't appear because the audit log is admin / owner actions only. For per-record history, open that record's activity timeline.
