You'll learn how to: Set the default currency for your workspace so deal values, forecasts, and dashboards show the right symbol.
Time: 30 seconds.
Prereqs: You're an Owner. Members can't change the workspace currency.
Steps
- Open Settings (gear icon, bottom-left).
- Click the Profile tab (or Account depending on workspace; some workspaces surface display preferences under a separate Display Settings section).
- Find the Currency setting.
- Pick from the dropdown: GBP / USD / EUR / CAD / AUD / etc.
- Save (some settings auto-save; check for an explicit Save button).
The new currency applies workspace-wide. Existing deal values keep their numeric value; only the displayed symbol changes.
What's affected
- The deal-creation form's Value field shows the new symbol.
- Existing deals continue to display with the workspace currency (the underlying number didn't change; just the symbol).
- Pipeline forecasts, Reporting metrics, dashboards: all use workspace currency.
- The win-rate / total-pipeline numbers on Revenue and Today: use workspace currency.
What's NOT affected
- Per-deal currency overrides. If a specific deal has its own currency set, that deal still displays in its own currency. The workspace default is the fallback, not an enforced rule.
- Historical reports already exported as CSV. Re-export to get the new symbol on previously-exported data.
Per-deal currency
The Create New Opportunity dialog has a currency field that defaults to the workspace currency but can be overridden per deal. Useful if you sell in multiple currencies (e.g. UK seller with US clients).
To change a single deal's currency after creation, open the deal canvas and look for the currency dropdown near the Value field.
Multi-currency display
Nynch doesn't currently auto-convert between currencies on dashboards. A workspace with a £-default plus a few $-denominated deals will show the dashboard total as "mixed" or in the workspace currency only, depending on dashboard config.
If you need consistent conversion, manually convert at deal-creation time using your bank's rate of the day, and re-evaluate quarterly.
If something goes wrong
- Symptom: "Currency setting isn't there." → Fix: Workspace currency may be under a different section depending on your plan. Try Settings > Profile, Settings > Display Settings, or contact support if you can't find it.
- Symptom: "I changed but existing deals still show the old symbol." → Fix: Refresh the page. The displayed currency uses the latest workspace setting, not the value-at-creation. If a specific deal stays in the old currency after refresh, it has a per-deal override; edit it on the deal canvas.
- Symptom: "I changed currency and now my pipeline total looks wrong." → Fix: The number didn't change; the symbol did. A pipeline that was "$10,000" now shows "£10,000", which is correct from a value perspective but not from a conversion perspective. Manually update each deal's value if you want re-priced amounts.
- Symptom: "I'm not an Owner and the setting is greyed out." → Fix: Ask an Owner to make the change. Workspace currency is owner-only.
