You'll learn how to: Use the Nynch Chrome extension on LinkedIn to add a contact in one click, see Nynch context (ICP score, last contact, deal history) directly inside LinkedIn, capture a whole search-results page at once, and run an Engage sprint that walks you through your daily rhythm without leaving LinkedIn.
Time: 2 minutes to capture your first profile. The Engage sprint pattern compounds over weeks.
Prereqs: The extension is installed. See Install the Chrome extension if you haven't yet.
What the sidebar looks like
The Nynch sidebar appears on the right side of LinkedIn pages. Header at the top says Nynch. Below the header sit two tabs:
- Import (default) - capture profiles, batch-capture search results.
- Engage - run your daily rhythm sprint without leaving LinkedIn.
A footer at the bottom shows the extension version (Nynch v2.3.1) so you can confirm what you have installed.
If you don't see the sidebar:
- Refresh the LinkedIn tab.
- Make sure you're signed in to Nynch in another Chrome tab in the same profile.
- Check that you're on a LinkedIn page (the sidebar only injects on
linkedin.com).
Capture a single profile
- Open any LinkedIn profile URL (
https://www.linkedin.com/in/...). - Look at the Nynch sidebar on the right. The Import tab is active by default.
- The sidebar reads the profile and shows a Profile Card with the person's photo, name, headline, current title, and company.
- The sidebar also tells you whether the contact already exists in your Nynch network:
- New contact: shows a Save to CRM action (with optional fields to set before saving).
- Existing contact: shows the saved record with editable fields, so you can update title / company / rhythm membership / campaign enrollment from inside LinkedIn.
Optional fields before saving
If the contact is new, you can set:
- Lead status (dropdown). Options: None, New, Contacted, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation, Won, Lost.
- Campaign. Pick from your active campaigns if you want this person enrolled right away.
- Rhythm. Drop them into a rhythm (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, etc.) immediately so they start showing up in your Today flow.
- Custom fields. Any custom fields you've defined on your Contacts schema appear here too.
Click Save to CRM. The save is instant and the panel switches to "existing contact" mode showing the new record.
What gets captured automatically
- Full name
- Headline
- Current title and company (parsed from the profile)
- LinkedIn URL (canonicalised, so future visits dedupe correctly)
- Profile photo
- Location
The capture does NOT consume enrichment credits. Credits are only spent if you later run enrichment from inside Nynch to pull additional fields like email and company domain.
Capture an entire search-results page
LinkedIn lets you search people by job title, company, location, etc. The Nynch extension can capture every result on a search page in one go.
- In LinkedIn, run a people search (e.g.
head of marketing, software, london). - The Nynch sidebar's Import tab switches automatically into search-results mode. You see "Looking for people on this search..." while the page loads.
- Once results appear, the sidebar shows a list of every person on the page with a checkbox per row and an aggregate import button.
- Tick the people you want and click the import button to add them all at once.
- If results don't appear after a few seconds, scroll the LinkedIn page. The extension watches for results to render, and scrolling triggers LinkedIn's lazy load.
Each captured person uses the same dedup logic as single-profile capture: existing matches are merged, new profiles become new contacts.
See Nynch context while you read LinkedIn
When you visit an existing contact's profile, the sidebar shows:
- Their ICP score and what drives it.
- Their relationship strength bar.
- Last activity (email, meeting, message).
- Deal history (current and past opportunities with this person).
- Custom field values you've set in Nynch.
- Buckets / rhythms they belong to.
You can edit any of these inline from the sidebar. Changes save back to Nynch immediately and the web app picks them up on next refresh.
The Engage tab
The Engage tab is for working through your daily rhythm without bouncing between Nynch and LinkedIn:
- Open the Engage tab.
- Pick a mode:
- Daily Rhythm - Nynch shows you the contacts who are due today across all rhythms. Click each one and the LinkedIn tab navigates to their profile so you can send a message or react to a post.
- Sprint - a focused session targeting a specific rhythm, campaign, or list. The extension tracks your progress through the queue, so you can stop midway and resume later.
- Take action on each person (send a DM, leave a comment, schedule a meeting). The extension auto-logs the interaction back to Nynch where possible.
- When the session ends, you see a summary: how many people you reached, how long you spent, what's left in the queue.
The Engage flow is how solo founders and fractional executives stay in touch with hundreds of relationships without ever opening a CRM. The whole experience is on LinkedIn; Nynch is just driving the queue and tracking the touches.
When you visit a non-profile page
The sidebar still appears on every LinkedIn page (feed, search, your own profile, etc.), but the Import tab only shows the profile card when you're on someone's profile URL.
On the feed, the Engage tab still works for navigating through your rhythm queue.
If something goes wrong
- Symptom: "Sidebar doesn't appear on LinkedIn profiles." → Fix: Refresh the page. If still missing, sign back in to Nynch (
https://app.nynch.com) and refresh LinkedIn again. The extension reads your Nynch session cookie. - Symptom: "Sidebar says Sign In Required." → Fix: Your Nynch session expired. Open a Nynch tab, sign in, then click the Sign In Required message in the sidebar. It reconnects automatically.
- Symptom: "I'm on a search-results page but the sidebar shows the Import tab as if I'm on a profile." → Fix: LinkedIn sometimes loads search results without changing the URL. Hit the LinkedIn search bar and re-run the search to trigger a clean URL change. The sidebar re-detects the page type.
- Symptom: "Search results capture only got 3 people but there were 25 on the page." → Fix: LinkedIn loads results lazily as you scroll. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the LinkedIn page before opening the sidebar's Import tab, so the extension has seen every result.
- Symptom: "I captured a profile but it has the wrong job title." → Fix: The extension reads LinkedIn's published profile. If LinkedIn shows the wrong title (e.g. the person didn't update their profile), the captured record will too. Edit it in Nynch's contact profile, or re-capture after they update LinkedIn.
- Symptom: "Engage sprint queue is empty." → Fix: You don't have anyone due in the rhythm or filter the sprint is targeting. Either pick a different rhythm, or check the Rhythm tab in Nynch to see who's actually due.
- Symptom: "The extension save button is disabled." → Fix: The contact already exists in Nynch. The panel should have flipped to "existing contact" mode automatically. Refresh the LinkedIn tab if it didn't.
- Symptom: "I see two cards for the same person." → Fix: Two LinkedIn profiles (a duplicate account, or a contact with a profile change) got into Nynch as separate records. Use Merge duplicate contacts to combine them.
