Motion becomes real when you attach it to a rhythm you can protect. The rhythm does not have to be complicated. The best systems are simple enough that they work even when life is chaotic. The worst systems demand perfection and collapse the moment the first client emergency arrives. So build for the messy reality, not the ideal week. Build something small enough that you can protect it even when everything else is demanding your attention.
Monday morning, you open the week. Spend 20 to 30 minutes reviewing last week and deciding what matters next. Which past relationships are warm. Which conversations need follow-up. Which opportunities are live. Which five people deserve attention. Put those five actions into the system. Call this person. Send this proof. Follow up on this conversation. Prepare this proposal. Reconnect with this opportunity. You see them all week because they are in front of you. Not buried. Not forgotten.
Every day, you start with Today. This is your queue. It tells you what is due and why. It reminds you of context. A past client called. A referrer wants to introduce you. A prospect is waiting. You take the action. Ten to 15 minutes. Write. Call. Send. The context is there because the system holds it.
Friday or early Monday, you review what just happened. Ask the seven questions. Which relationships moved. Which conversations advanced. Which proof worked. Which actions created movement. Write the answers. Real data, not wishes. Then decide what matters next week.
That is it. Thirty minutes at the start of the week. Ten minutes a day. Thirty minutes at the end. One and a half hours a week. Inside that rhythm, the practice compounds because motion is visible and the next action is clear.
