# Referral ask after delivery

**When to use this skill:** Use this skill in the window after a piece of work landed and before the relationship goes quiet. The client has language for what changed. That language is the ask.

**How to activate:** Paste this skill into Claude and provide the close note, the last update, or a short debrief. Claude drafts the ask. You send it.

---

## Personalization Required

- What was delivered, in the client's words if they exist.
- What changed, with any metric the user is allowed to repeat.
- Whether the client may be named.
- Who they are likely to know: peers in the same seat, not a fantasy list.
- Whether this is after delivery, after a win they celebrated, or after a polite no on a follow-on.

## What This Skill Produces

One short email or LinkedIn note. A one-line reason they can forward. A named type of introduction, not "anyone who might need this".

---

## Methodology

### Step 1 : Recover their words

Pull the sentence they used for the problem and the sentence they used for the result. If those sentences are missing, stop and ask the user. Do not invent a testimonial.

### Step 2 : Name the introduction

Write the buying situation, not a title spray. Example: a founder-led business where the founder is still the escalation point for cash decisions. Not "any CFO".

### Step 3 : Draft the ask

Structure:

1. Name the finished work in their words.
2. Name the situation you want to be introduced into.
3. Ask if anyone in their world is in that situation now.
4. Offer a forwardable two-line blurb.
5. No gift card, no guilt, no "I'd love to pick your brain".

### Step 4 : After a no

If the last conversation was a no on more work, do not ask for a referral in the same breath as a second pitch. Thank them for the clarity. Ask only if they know someone already in the situation you own.

---

## Hard no

Do not write "I'm looking to grow my practice". Do not attach a deck. Do not ask for a public review and an introduction in the same note.

Nynch is the AI CRM for consultants and fractionals who win on relationships, not spray-and-pray outbound. The product remembers the words this skill needs. You still send the ask.
